Jason Idler

Chief Operating Officer, Heavy Industrial – PCL Constructors Inc.

Jason Idler brings more than 30 years of experience to his role as chief operating officer of PCL’s heavy industrial operations. He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Saskatchewan. Joining the PCL family of companies in 2008 as vice president of PCL Intracon Power, he was appointed regional vice president with responsibility for Canadian operations in 2013. The next year he joined the board for PCL Construction Holdings Ltd. and assumed executive sponsorship for large-scale industrial projects, some of the largest PCL has executed among them. In 2017, Jason was named executive vice president for Canada and then president of US heavy industrial operations, based in Houston.

Jason is responsible for PCL’s portfolio of work in the oil and gas, power, renewables, chemical and petrochemical markets. He works with a team of regional executives to oversee all aspects of project planning and delivery including oversight of engineering, project controls, quality, procurement, construction execution, risk management, and health, safety, and environment (HSE). Jason is deeply involved not just in the work of construction, but also in how PCL partners with clients and stakeholders to build a sustainable energy and resource future. For him that means attention to people, to community and to PCL’s role in the energy transition. From planning to site fabrication to execution and ongoing maintenance, Jason, along with the entire heavy industrial group, promises clients a fully tailorable project solution.

Jason is heavily involved in his community, and has serving as chair of PCL’s United Way Campaign, and enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 kids, as well as golfing.


 

Chris Pullen

Vice President & General Manager, PCL Constructors Inc.

Chris Pullen is the vice president and general manager for PCL Industrial Management located in Edmonton, Alberta. He is responsible for the company’s strategic direction, safety, quality, and business growth. Chris started his career in the field as a red seal certified journeyman electrician and earned increasingly senior positions, where he led various teams in the refining, extraction, petrochemical maintenance, and construction fields. He has 35 years of heavy industrial construction experience, including managing multi-disciplined projects with labor numbers in excess of 1,000 tradespeople.

Chris’ responsibilities have included managing district operations, developing and implementing project HSE and quality plans, project performance, scheduling, and subcontractor activities. Chris works closely with owner and engineering partners on constructability reviews and integrating commissioning and start-up considerations into the construction plan. He has been successful in developing positive working relationships with owners and their engineering and operations teams in order to meet the projects’ goals related to safety, budget, schedule, quality, and start-up.

Chris has been a chair of PCL’s United Way Campaign, as well as serving on the United Way Capital Region Board, and enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 daughters, hunting, and fishing.


 

John DeCesare

Legal Counsel, Canadian Industrial Operations, PCL Constructors Inc.

John is located at North American Headquarters in Edmonton, Alberta, where provides legal advice on a broad basis for PCL, with an emphasis on Western Canadian Operations..
 
John was a summer law student at PCL in 2012 and more recently worked at a large private firm where he practiced in the areas of litigation, insurance and risk management, and restructuring and insolvency. He received his juris doctor from the University of Alberta.

In his spare time John enjoys fitness.


 

Mike Bray

District Human Resources & Professional Development Manager, PCL Industrial Management Inc.

Mike has been working in Human Resources since 2005 and has been with PCL since 2007, starting as a Human Resources Coordinator before transferring to Finance in 2010.   He returned to the world of Human Resources in 2012 and in 2015 transferred to Houston as the district HRPD Manager.  Mike came back to Edmonton in 2021 to work as the District Human Resources & Professional Development Manager for the Canadian Industrial group.

While working with PCL, Mike has contributed to a variety of initiatives including chairing district DE&I committees, social committees, United Way Campaigns in Houston, and Bust a Move in Edmonton. He has also been deeply involved in his communities, serving as vice president for the board of directors of Houston Habitat for Humanity, working with Junior Achievement, and becoming a foster parent.

In his spare time, Mike enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, camping, dirt biking, snowboarding, and playing hockey.


 

David Mann

Accounting Manager, PCL Industrial Management Inc.

David has been working in Finance since 2010 and has been with PCL since 2011. Starting as a Project Accountant with Melloy Industrial Services, he worked on many different project sites across Alberta and in 2015, was promoted to Field Accounting Manager. In 2019, he transferred to PCL Industrial Management and worked on notable projects including IPL CUB and Capital Power Genesee. In 2022, David was promoted to Accounting Manager for PCL Industrial Management.

In his spare time, David enjoys spending time with his wife and son, golfing, skiing and travelling.


 

Kyla Schiebel

Project Accountant, PCL Industrial Management Inc.

Kyla has been working as a Project Accountant at PCL since 2022. Prior to completing her Business Administration Diploma in Accounting at NAIT, she received her Bachelor of Education degree at the University of Alberta and taught elementary school for 2 years. She is now pursuing her Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation by finishing the required courses for the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP).

In her spare time, Kyla enjoys skiing, golfing, and playing soccer.
