Petra Remy
Monday Night Keynote - CIBC Private Wealth Remy Investment Group
Many people talk about making a difference in the world. Senior Wealth Manager and Certified financial planner, Petra Remy, just gets out there and does it! A tireless advocate for life long learning, Petra obtained her Masters while a single mom raising two daughters, and then just kept right on going, eventually amassing 18 years of financial experience as a “retirement readiness” investment specialist, growing her successful team of financial experts from 7 to 57 in exemplary time!
An avid philanthropist, Petra donates her “spare” time and formidable talents to an entire array of worthy causes and pursuits, from chairing conferences, to running fundraisers, as well as serving as an executive board member for organizations as varied as the Rotary Club, Toastmasters International and BNI. Passionate about helping her clients achieve their dreams of financial independence, Petra is especially committed to socially conscious investing in corporate entities operating in alignment with enlightened values that make for a more positive community while reducing the risk of her clients portfolios. All in all, it seems apparent that the legacy Ms. Remy will leave us… is a better world.
A long-time supporter of his community, Dhruv advocates many non-profit organizations and charitable causes. He is a member of the Business Council of Alberta, the Young Presidents Organization and its current Chair, a member of the board of trustees of the Stollery Children's Hospital, a member of the Hockey Canada Foundation and a past chair of BILD Alberta. Dhruv is also a member of the Law Societies of Alberta and Manitoba.
Dhruv Gupta
Tuesday Afternoon Keynote - Akash Homes
Dhruv Gupta is the President of Akash Group of Companies, responsible for legal, business and strategic partnerships for all business units throughout Western Canada. After graduating from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Juris Doctor, Dhruv practiced law in the areas of in real estate and finance. He developed an interest in real estate development and began to work with Akash Homes. With his unique perspective and business leadership, Dhruv helped expand the company into a modern and diversified enterprise. Dhruv is a graduate of the Quantum Shift program at the Richard Ivey School of Business at University of Western and is currently enrolled in the Presidents’ Program at Harvard Business School.
Akash Homes is now an award-winning home builder with a portfolio of housing products, including condominiums, townhomes, single-family homes, and duplexes. Under Dhruv’s leadership, the company has grown over the last decade into one of the largest homebuilders in Western Canada. Akash expanded into the Calgary region in 2020 and into Winnipeg in 2024. The company has also expanded into a group of land development, commercial real estate and multi-family rental assets throughout Western Canada.
Stephanie Proseilo
Tuesday Evening Keynote - Fountain Tire
Stephanie is a marketing innovator who loves to create digital solutions to enhance and engage teams and the customers they serve. Her experience spans B2B and B2C with iconic brands such as ATB Financial, Finning, Vallen, and Fountain Tire. She had rolled up her sleeves in many areas of marketing like digital marketing, e-commerce, social media strategy, content strategy, channel management, communications, and voice of the customer programs.
Outside of work, she can be found on the ski hill or a hike with her family somewhere in Alberta, and her love of skiing almost equals her love of music and a good book.
Peter Keith
Wednesday Morning Keynote - eHUB
Peter Keith is the Centre Director for eHUB, the University of Alberta’s entrepreneurship centre. In this role, Peter provides student entrepreneurs with the resources, mentorship, and community needed to launch new ventures. He is the interim investment lead at the U of A Innovation Fund, making venture capital investments in early-stage companies, and he is an instructor at the University of Alberta School of Business, teaching foundational concepts of entrepreneurship to the next generation of leaders.
Peter's experience is further grounded in his background as a successful small-business owner in Edmonton's food industry. He holds a BCom and MBA from the Alberta School of Business.
Gregory Mowbrey
Wednesday Afternoon Keynote - Mowbrey Gil LLP
Gregory Mowbrey is the Managing Partner of Mowbrey Gil LLP Chartered Professional Accountants & Business Advisors. After obtaining his General Arts degree with an Economics Major and an MBA, he began articling with a major international accounting firm, gaining a wealth of knowledge and experience. Driven by the pull towards his roots, he joined his father's local practice. It was here he expanded his skill set in owner/manager financing, taxation, audit and assurance, advisory services, and the nuanced art of mergers and acquisitions.
Today, Mowbrey Gil proudly stands as the second largest local firm in Edmonton, boasting a powerhouse team of over 90 people. The firm offers a comprehensive range of services comparable to an international firm, with the exception of public companies and insolvency, made by choice.
Gregory not only excels in his professional life but is also a dedicated family man and has been married to his wife for over 30 years and is a proud father of two daughters both of whom have followed in their father's footsteps, joining the world of accounting. Gregory is eager to share his insights and stories from his career with the delegates at RMBS and hopes to engage the next generation of CPAs.
Kaitlin Young
Thursday Afternoon Keynote - EY
Kaitlin brings a human-centered lens to AI, grounded in real-world experience across energy, public sector, and enterprise environments. She is known for bridging strategy and execution, asking the questions others overlook, and helping teams move forward when the path is not yet clear.
Her career path, from fieldwork and teaching to managing AI and data teams, reflects a belief that resilience is built through adaptability, curiosity, and the willingness to reinvent when the world changes.
Kaitlin Young is a Manager in AI and Data at EY, where she leads teams at the intersection of artificial intelligence, data strategy, and organizational change. Her work focuses on helping large organizations adopt emerging technologies responsibly, translating complex technical systems into decisions people can understand, trust, and use.
Before working in AI, Kaitlin trained as a sociocultural anthropologist. She conducted fieldwork in Greenland, taught at the university level, and spent years studying how communities respond to disruption, uncertainty, and large-scale change. What began as academic research now directly informs her work with executives, boards, and delivery teams navigating rapid technological transformation.
