Share a story of a time a challenge helped you build resilience.

When I first started university, I was nervous to speak up and enagage with others. With time, I forced myself to take on speaking opportunitites, and attend events where I didn't know anyone. Stepping outside my comfort zone has been the most rewarding experiences and helped me build resilience. I've unlocked new opportunities and connections I wouldn't have had otherwise, and I've learnt that some of the most rewarding experiences result from stepping into the unknown.

Hey everyone! I'm Ria Kumar, a fourth-year accounting student and the external associate for RMBS 2026. I'm so excited to be a part of the executive team this year and help create the same meaningful experience I had at RMBS! Last year, I left with new friendships, valuable knowledge and amazing memories that will last a lifetime. I'm looking forward to creating new memories with you guys this year!

What is your favourite aspect of RMBS?

I absolutely love traveling and taking the chance to disconnect from the outside world to catch a break and explore something new. For me, RMBS does exactly that and so much more. It gave me the opportunity to be part of a community that, in a way, felt so similar to me yet also incredibly diverse. It’s a community driven by learning, but one that also knows how to let loose and truly enjoy the week.
