Michelle Luong
Hi everyone! My name is Michelle, and I am a fifth-year marketing student and this year’s VP Logistics. I first attended RMBS because I wanted to do something outside of my comfort zone and learn more about the marketing industry and what my post-grad could look like. If you are a business student wanting to improve your leadership skills and network with passionate students and corporates from across Canada, apply to be a delegate at RMBS 2027! Outside of RMBS, I love spending time with friends, trying new restaurants in the city, and going for nature walks.
What is your favourite aspect of RMBS?
My favourite aspect of RMBS is the community we build over the five short days. I love that it creates a space where everyone can feel comfortable asking questions, speaking up, and sharing ideas. Everyone in the room is curious, ambitious, and there to learn, which makes RMBS such a unique environment to grow alongside one another. And while the conference only lasts five days, the friendships and connections you leave with last far beyond them.
What are you grateful for?
I am grateful for the opportunities I have had throughout my undergrad to step outside of my comfort zone. Some of the experiences I was most nervous about at first have ended up becoming some of my best memories. I’m grateful for the people in my life who have encouraged me to try new things and challenged me to grow. Without them, I wouldn’t be the person I am today.
