Eric Geng

Hello everyone! My name is Eric Geng, and I am a fourth-year Accounting student here at the University of Alberta. After having such a fulfilling experience serving as last year’s Associate PR (now VP/Associate Marketing) and becoming part of such a tight-knit team, I knew I wanted to do RMBS again. At the same time, I knew I wanted to take on another challenge. That is why I'm back as one of the Co-Chairs this year! Outside of RMBS, I enjoy all sorts of sports. I played soccer all summer and will be pursuing an intramural basketball career during my final year at university. I’m looking forward to an amazing year and getting to know everyone!

What is your favourite aspect of RMBS?

My favourite part about RMBS isn’t an activity or anything you can experience during the conference week itself. I really do believe that the best part of RMBS is everything that happens afterwards.

I remember coming home as a delegate with a deep sense of feeling genuinely confident. I remember going back to school and having all these new connections with people I had met during the week. All of a sudden, I had friends in every single one of my classes. I didn’t know it at the time, but I've come to realize just how meaningful those relationships would become.

RMBS is truly a life-changing experience. To think that so many of my closest friends today were a result of attending this conference still blows my mind. This was something that has stayed with me long after the conference ended, and I think that’s what makes it so special.
