President, LLoyd Sadd Insurance Brokers LTD
Chris Huebner received his Bachelor of Art Degree in 1995 from the University of Alberta. While attending the UofA, he worked multiple jobs in the retail and hospitality industries to fund his education. Outside of the classroom, he was a member of Golden Bears Wrestling team and competed at the CIAU (now CIS) level and ultimately winning the Beaumont Cup.
After graduating from the Faculty of Arts, Chris was a Faculty of Business student for exactly two days when he came to the realization that it was time to “get a job”, he ultimately chose to pursue a path in the Insurance and Risk Management Industry. He joined a small general insurance firm with 17 people called Lloyd Sadd and Anthony in the fall of 1995. He progressed through the business from service to sales and ultimately into management roles. His UofA tenure did not end upon graduation and he returned to complete his Chartered Insurance Professional Fellowship through the faculty of extension in 2004. In 2015, he was promoted to President of Lloyd Sadd Insurance Brokers Ltd. Lloyd Sadd has now become part of the Navacord Group and is a proud partner with seven other firms in Canada. Navacord is the 5th largest brokerage firm in Canada with over 500 employees.
Chris has maintained a deep connection to the University. The UofA was the start of his career and his family. His wife graduated in 1996 as an Occupational Therapist. To show his family’s love for the University, they have lived beside every campus in Edmonton and every house has been Golden Bear “yellow”.
The lessons and friendships he made at the university have been the foundation of his success in business, family, and community. He believes that everyone should invest in themselves, their relationships and take risks in life that push you to new levels.
