Founder & President, Bluetrain Marketing
Bryan Smith is the founder and President of Bluetrain, a digital marketing agency with ongoing clients in San Francisco, Toronto, Ottawa, Calgary and its home-base of Edmonton. Bluetrain is known for its professional ongoing management of online marketing services, providing high quality delivery and transparent communication to progressive growing organizations. Bryan is a digital marketing expert with over fifteen years of experience in search marketing, online advertising, and web analytics, working on hundreds of websites, and managing millions in advertising spending.
Bryan's professional marketing career began in 1999 as a member of SMART Technologies' Online Publications department in Calgary and continued with his marketing consulting role at Incite Marketing, an Edmonton marketing firm. After getting his Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta School of Business, Bryan went overseas to work in Eastern Europe and did marketing for a US mobile software startup. After traveling Europe, Bryan returned to Edmonton to continue his marketing career. In 2003 he started a 4-yr marketing and business development career at Micralyne, a world-leading micro/nanotechnology company.
In 2007, Bryan found his entrepreneurial inspiration, launching Bluetrain, satisfying his love for both technology and results-based marketing. From day one, Bluetrain has been a focused digital marketing agency offering ongoing management of services such as search engine optimization, online advertising, social media and web analytics.
Bryan was recently named a Business in Edmonton Leader and awarded Sherwood Park Chamber Young Entrepreneurial Award, Bryan has overseen 10 years of annual growth for Bluetrain.
In his spare time Bryan, a proud RMBS alumnus, enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids, with a favourite past-time playing hide and seek.
